    :huh what you talking about?
it was a close fight and if the ref was doing his job properly and honestly then Limond would have a 'W' on his record.

You obviously saw a very different fight from the vast majority of us.

Give Limond credit where it's due for knocking Khan down but the true of the matter is that Khan battered Limond. It was not even close.

I saw a pretty close fight up until the point is got very interesting.
you can't just brush it off as 'give him credit for knocking khan down', he dropped him heavily, made him do a silly dance and only the incompetence of the ref saved Khan from a KO loss. Rules are rules and Khan should have been counted out.

No excuse. Khan won most rounds.. Rematch would be pointless. Khan learnt alot of from that fight.

well every1s entitled to their own opinion but if it was the other way round khans ppl would have wanted a rematch as the count for khans knockdown was in my opinion and many others too long. y would a rematch be pointless? khan hasnt faced an opponent whos pushed him so close since. maybe he has improved? but its hard to tell when the opponents dont hit back and 1 things for sure willie would be coming to win!:good

What the hell is wrong with you?,
As most people on here know Willie won the fight cause khan had a 13 sec count, so willie won by tko, When Willie RETIRED (not ko'd by khan) in the 8th round it was because he had a burst ear drum.

Can we stop relating every thread to Amir Khan its boring. Can't wait to see Willie back in the ring - a fight with Matin Watson in particular would be a belter. Limmond-Thaxton before the end of the year.

I’d like to see that myself.

Limond is stronger than both Dave Stewart and Scotty Lawton – both of whom gave Thaxton all the trouble in the world with movement – so it would be interesting. Willie also seems, despite his low knockout percentage, to carry a decent little dig on him. I’ve seen him, both on the tele and in the flesh (once, against my mate Trevor Smith), a few times and he has improved steadily over time.

He stuck decent and iron-chinned Kpakpo Allotey on the floor early on in their vacant Commonwealth title (2006, I think). I also seem to remember there was a school of though around the time of the Arthur fight that Willie could win.

He is certainly an excellent boxer.

Hope he returns stronger from his last loss and gets a fight with Thaxton during this year.
