It's such a ridiculous situation boxing finds itself in, Canelo has never even fought a proper 160lber, but holds the mw wbc. It's nuts. So really we dont even know how he would perform against a proper 160lber, but we can extrapolate for sure. I think if he loses the size advantage he has so thoroughly enjoyed at 155 he might look VERY mediocre at full mw...:bbb
I'll requote this after GGG destroys Cannelo and other trolls like you decide Canelo was, after all, just a glorified clubfighter with good connections, and that Gennady still hasn't beaten any decent oponnent yet. :hey
On a somewhat related note, what's up with Monroe? Been six months since he fought GGG, any word on when he's getting back in the ring?
They knocked out legit MWs which is I think good enough to suggest they have better power than Canelo. It's safe to say Canelo's power nowhere near as big as Lee-Quillin-Lemieux IMO.
I told you guys... Canelo is coward and *****... "I will only fight GGG at 155!" A side doe, PPV star doe! Dude has a middleweight Lineal, Ring Magazine and WBC tittles. What a shame.
No. Unless by "punches in bunches" you mean throw a 4 punch combo, then nothing for the next 45 seconds...while Golovkin on the other hand throws north of 65 per round, every round. I doubt Canelo has thrown more than 65 punches 12 times in his last 10 fights.Canelo does throw light "feeler" punches too but it is mostly a result of his poor footwork. Canelo can beat him, but what you are saying is factually inaccurate.
Lemiuex would be a MUCH more dangerous fight for Canelo than Cotto. Let's be realistic. One of the reasons GGG was so successful against Lemiuex was because of his power. Canelo has great defense, but Lemiuex could potentially hurt him with his shots, and Lemiuex is also much bigger than Cotto.
Really? Not sure why you hate the guy, but you don't think a Silver Medalist has a chance at outboxing Canelo? If anything, that would be my strategy if I were GGG. I would stick Canelo exactly like I stuck Lemiuex and take advantage of Canelo's slow feet. I wouldn't let Canelo get comfortable where he's at his best, when his opponent stands right in front of him.
GGG could ko Wladimir Klitschko and all the famous clowns on the forum will continue to call him overrated.
How would anyone know how Canelo would go at middleweight. He has never fought there.. Now if Willy mean't at "Canelo Weight™" it would depend on how weight drained GGG was..
Lemieux doesn't follow gameplans very well when in front of someone superior. He would get starstruck, freeze and ultimately get stopped by pinpoint accuracy and quick combination punching. That fight may happen too, so we may see who's right.
What do you base that on? Mayweather made Canelo look ridiculous, Lara gave Canelo nightmares, he is not a riddle, he can be outboxed because we've seen him outboxed.
Look at the two in their fights... Canelo is Better technically and has a better variety of punches, mixed in with superb defense... GGG cant throw a 4-2-3-7 combination to save his life, or slip punches for that Matter... GGG is very Fundamentally......Basic.:deal 1-2-3, body shot, Jab uppercut but never in sequence one after the other.... a 1-2-3 combination is something coaches first teach you when you first start learning boxing! And Please, GGG aint outboxing anybody, he stays right in front of you with little to no Lateral Movement.. Ducking under is not Lateral movement either.
