I think this is a great fight, both have a common opponent in Darnell Boone (both lost), however each brings some great assets into the ring. Monroe has the speed and faster hands, Ward has the timing and better ring generalship.

This fight would likely go 12 rnds despite neither having great chins, but I think there would be many close rounds. Who do you have?

    Is this a joke?

    Ward would destroy him.

    Monroe would win 0 rounds.

I havent noticed Boone has knocked down Ward and is one of the few people who came closest to actually beating him. He is also the only person to beat Adonis and Monroe (until last night). This guy has one of the weirdest and most unique resumes I have ever seen.

Ward deserved to beat Boone I think. I don't like Ward but I do feel he won that. I didn't see Monroe vs. Boone.

Ward clearly beat Boone and would beat Monroe with his back faced to him and punching behind his head

Ridiculous thread, Ward is LEVELS above Munroe and would probably stop him as fast as G did

The last time Ward KO'd anyone in under six rounds was against a nobody named pudwill that was six long years ago. Since then, he has only KO'd a brain damaged Dawson which gives him a ko% of 25% in his last 8 fights.

If you think Ward could stop Somebody faster than GGG - you should get a new boyfriend that can teach you more about boxing.

Not to mention he gave Kovalev his toughest fight, apparently a very talented fighter but didn't have much luck in his career.

Boone vs GGG would be a better fight actually.

in 2005, Ward beat Boone in a 6 round bout after only 6 fights.

A 33 year old GGG could potential match that win, would be a huge step up in class for him against a bigger and better man than anyone he has fought..

I had Boone vs Ward as a draw. So If ggg wins this we know who is the fraud...

This fight would likely go to decision like most of Andre Ward's fights. Andre Ward hasn't fought for a long time, so we really have no idea how tough Andre Ward would be at this stage.

However after seeing Monroe vs GGG, I would say this would be an interesting fight. Monroe definitely has the ability to win rounds and he won't have to worry about getting knocked down early as much as vs GGG.

This fight would probably have to be at the SMW limit (can't see Ward coming down). Not sure if SMW is in Monroe's future, but if he is having trouble making 160 then perhaps that is an option in his foreseeable future.

I had a young, green Ward ahead by a point in this 6 round fight, despite Boone scoring the KD.

If a 33 y/o prime GGG did infact fight Boone, it would be a huge step up in class for him against a bigger, better opponent than anyone he has faced..

This was a green Ward's 6th fight.. if GGG manages to beat Boone, he might come closer to matching Ward in greatness.
