These agenda threads are the worst. Ward has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he's the class of 168 when he's active and capable of making the weight. If he can make the weight again after the Paul Smith fight then I fully expect him to be the class of the division once more. If GGG ends up moving up to fight him and Ward is the same fighter he used to be then I have little doubt Ward will UD GGG quite comfortably, probably in the realm of 9-3. After that win, I hope Ward will challenge himself and move up to fight Kovalev. And I hope that the Ward fans who are calling out GGG for 'ducking' Ward will hold Andre to the same standard when it comes to a Kovalev fight. It says a lot about GGG that even his biggest haters only seem to be able to come up with Ward as an opponent they would favor against him from 154-168. Unless you count Cisco Route, who believes that the glass-jawed Badou Jack would somehow survive against GGG. Just like it says a lot about Floyd that the only man people feel comfortable picking against a 38 year old Floyd is GGG at 160.
I think you're selling GGG short here. He cleans out the 168 division, probably only having trouble with Dirrell(they did split 2 wins in the amateurs). Ward would be the favorite for obvious reasons, but GGG would be a live dog.
I have a lot of faith in him. I agree completely that he cleans out 168 barring Ward. But I would feel very comfortable picking Ward to UD him comfortably.
