    Was Monroe a mando?

Cause from the sounds of things Monroe is a horrible style for him

Im not saying WM beats him, but he could be evasive enough that he ends The Streak :?

“I think it’s a little different for me because Monroe has a different style,” Golovkin said via ESPN.com. “He is a southpaw. It’s very interesting for me. He has good speed and is a good mover. Remember, everybody who is a good boxer has a problem with southpaws. Canelo [Alvarez] did and [Miguel] Cotto had problems with [Austin] Trout. This is a new style and a new situation for me. I want to beat any style. This is a new step for me.”

    ..........

How can anyone not respect this guy

Good post beouche. But wait if golovkin loses this the usual d1cks will attack ggg with full force. Monroe is good fighter and gennady clearly acknowledges its himself.

Nah he was not a mando, just there was not a lot available. The only guys available and willing to negotiate with any standing, with ABC's or public were Johnson , Heiland and Monroe. Everyone else spoken for, or across Haymon divide.

Johnson took a loss to Stevens which he has yet to avenge, and is a come forward guy who gets caught coming in.

Heiland is a come forward kind of guy, who is awkward and can take a shot but gets hit a lot.

Monroe is a slick guy with boxing pedigree, a real AM career , and lots of movement who had been on a roll through Boxcino and outclassing Vera.

They took Monroe because out of the guys available he is the most likely to make it an interesting fight. He is going to try and be evasive, get cute with his his feet and shoulders and use his handspeed.

Frankly I think he would UD most guys on Ring or TBRB top 10 list, or at least have a good shot at doing so.

General question , I hear ppl say Cotto Vs Canelo is next on the cards , will it be without the WBC title ? isnt GGG mando for the WBC belt ? or the behind the scene talks are about WBC letting Canelo get a chance before GGG ?

Cotto had to sign a pre-agreement to face Canelo next, otherwise his Geale (opponent wasn't clear at the time) fight wouldn't be shown on HBO.
HBO also has a contract with Golovkin so I think that if Cotto wins his next fight they will pay him (GGG) a huge sum of step-aside money.
I hope that last part isn't the case and Cotto just gets stripped, but it probably is how it's gonna work out.

IF Cotto beats Geale at 157 ;)
