Footage quality is not great - but it's worth your while to pick this one apart.

Outweighed and out-reached, but Walton seems pretty limited. Regardless - Jesus, what about Pep? Does he ship a clean headshot in the whole ten minutes?

When he moves, he moves defensively, a turn of his head, or a timed step. Also, he's so good at making himself just unmissable, just, almost by nothing.

That's footage of a primed Willie Pep slipping all sorts of punches and I find it on page two with one response?! No observations at all?

Thanks for the footage, very hard to make out if some punches were landing or not but nonetheless, I have Pep in my top 3 of all time, best ever FWT too.

amazing Pep IMO is the best ever FW

look at the way he slips punches effortlessly and counters almost in 1 movement

look at the way he uses his strength up close to push his opponent around.

look at the way he does everything perfect

there is always something ammazing about watching pep i think he is the best ever pure boxer

Very slippery customer, great footwork, perhaps the greatest of all time.

Of course, you can't glean all that much looking at this footage because he wasn't fighting that good a fighter and the footage isn't in real speed.

    Wow, that was very deep.

In all seriousness, the video quality is pretty terrible, so I'll have to find some time to watch it without getting fidgety. I have seen clips of this footage in better quality though, and it's undoubtedly the best of Pep available.

it is abit over the top or deep

i can only think of 2 things he does wrong in that clip

he sometimes looks away as he moves his head when he bobs

    and

his lack of inside work opting to hold instead of punch although he does work up close afew times

it really does have to be seen to be believed, Pep was a master boxer at everything but what really impressed me was his footwork and balance whenever i watch him, he is always perfectly placed to make a move to dodge a punch, perfectly placed to land his counters, perfectly placed to move away from an advancing opponent

and tahnks again McVey for finding another quality footage
