I tend to agree with you. I also believe that, when in the moment, fighters don't think of dying or permanent damage. If they did, they would probably quit.
First off, willing to die is overrated, what happens to you and your family if something happens? The fickle fans just forget about you anyway. That being said Golovkin has shown plenty of heart in all his tough fights, while fighting smart, that's what elite fighters do.
GGG took everything Ginger had to give TWICE!! & legitimately beat him both times. Ive watched those fights so many times & my opinion has never changed. GGG can hold his head up high, the real fans know the score, Ginger ? How he keeps up that pretense amazes me The casuals buy it
I would have agreed with you had the Crawford fight not happened. He chose to quit as he didn't want to take further punishment.
I'll say one thing with Wilder... His heart is possibly bigger than his mouth. That's a big either way.
^This^ Nobody wants to die but pride/toughness will push you over the limit when quitting is not an option. It is very admirable when fighters have this quality and when fighters are too proud/tough for their own good we have referees/corners to make sure they are safe.
Khan had balls, remember the Maidana fight and him going up and fought Canelo. Bad chin doesn't mean poor heart
Jake ''Money'' Paul “You know, it’s a dangerous sport. And that’s why, when people question my dedication to it, it’s like, I’m showing up every single day. I’m putting my mental health on the line, my brain is on the line … I’ve gone and gotten brain scans and have early signs of CTE,” Paul said during a press conference Thursday. “But, I love this sport and wouldn’t trade it for anything else. And I’m a fighter and people will see that. Whether it’s after Saturday night or whether it’s a year from now, they will see that I’m a fighter.” This content is protected
