the guy went the distance against marciano and there isnt that much info on him. If he gets two lines in a marciano book I havent read them. I know red was matched hard and gave archie mcbride a tough fight for a state title and that he was an all round athlete but I just dont know that much else other than his record on boxrec. anyone know anything else?
Isn't McBride still alive? (He would be 81 now.) Bivins also fought him, but I can't vouch for his recall at 90, although his physical health seems good, as it was only one of 112 fights.
