Have any iron willed fighters simply lost their zest for the sport? Has there ever been a willpower deficient fighter who's gone out to have great mental strength?

Roy Jones might be a decent example. He was definitely a bit untested and not hit too terribly often. At the tail end of his career he takes a nasty beating from Calzaghe, cut and all, and takes it all.

Duran quitting against Leonard is a great example. The fire wasn't there anymore, though he later regained it.

Andrew Golota was a bit flaky mentally, but towards the end of his career he's kept it together a bit more. That ****ed up eye he had against Mollo was very bad and he kept composed.
