I thinks Wills and Dempsey would be competitive in any era....I saw an old fight with Wills(he was older) Uzcudun and he looked pretty easy to hit but he was old
LOl, no wonder you name yourself Old Fogey...............the good ol' times must have mailordered free rose colored glasses. Earth to Old Fogey.............Wills is EASY to hit, as a matter of fact OPEN like a barndoor. What makes you think that his stamina is going to be so superior when he is forced to fight THREE MINUTES a round against PROFFESSIONAL bred pricefighters who can soley focus on fighting and are going to bring the heat . This ain't no part time job, a way to avoid the soup kitchen or stone broke dude fighting every week at beerhalls type of fighters, ATG's with god given talent and dilligent training, not to mention a couple of Gold medals thrown in for the good measure. Straight out of a time machine poor Wills would not even know what hit him because it would be over so quick. First he is fighting LEGITIMATE Heavyweights not middle or cruiser bean sticks. He is not going to tie Foreman up, period, or push a inside fight and he was never hit like he will get hit fom Foreman before, open target practise from George non stop.RIP Wills. Tyson, lol, Tyson did not do well with tall fighters ? LOL, EVERY SINGLE ONE of his creditable opponents was taller than him, yeah, they really caused him much trouble. Now you are going to bring up Tucker, Smith or Green. Sure baby, when Tyson was focused and on his game he lost 3 max out of 34 rounds.........that must be a real sign of trouble. Wills will never be able to cope with Tysons middle weight speed combined with Foreman type power, inside body/ uppercut combo and left hook/straight right will lay Wills out no later than in two. Maybe you watch the Holmes interview and how Larry comments how hard it is to lay leather on Mike............. Liston will jab and righthand him to death , Liston is slow and methodical but he will find that chin with ease. Lewis ? LOL, Wills never gets a shot in, aka he will never get to the so so Lewis chin, inside Lewis is the far stronger man , leaning on him and pushing him into position for the uppercut or while coming in jab followed by the right and it is good nite Wills. Another 2-3 rounder max. In all fairness Wills has never ever faced ANY opponents as good as the above or even close, so it comes as no surprise that he will lose in a loopsided way against those four. Disclaimer: all of the above including Wills are at their best, focused and hungry for those fanatsy scenerio. So please no Buster, Lyle or Rahman comparison.
