I must admit I don't know anything about Classen other than what I read about him being a Gleason fighter and a man that unfortunately died in the ring that was very well liked. Regarding Cory, I am from St louis and a few years older than him but I can tell you I have seen him fight more in person than any other fighter from his days as an amateur at afternoon smokers thru his title defensives at the Scottrade Center. His was an unbelievably good boxer that was a handful for anyone he ever fought in his prime due to his speed, combination punching, defense and overall ring IQ. He was a hell of a lot tougher than he gets credit for coming g for where he came from and having to live up to that last name. Believe me, he was tested a lot by dudes because of that last name and never backed down from anyone. Spinks by UD just based on what I know about Cory.
U know, out of curiousity I googled Classen recently to see if I could find video of him and I did. He was a good boxer, a very tough guy. I'll never forget seeing the news reports and reading about it when that happened to him. We didn't have utube then and I was always curious about him. Very sad. Cory Spinks a very good boxer who I would favor over most. But after seeing some footage of Classen, I would NEVER say he didn't have a good shot with anyone
