His prospects fight about 10 journeymen and build a padded record, and then have a considerable step up.

Happened with Hutchinson today, as well as Dubois and Yarde.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it happens with Mark Chamberlain next.

Time will tell, could have just been a bad night at the office.

Yeah I agree to an extent but it's very fine lines. We complain when prospects have a run of poor journey men and pad their records.

When they take risks, step up the level of opposition and suffer a loss or shock loss we slaughter the matchmaker.

We all said Dubois needed to be stepped up, he was and lost, we can't have it both ways.

We all slaughtered Warren and Team Yarde for a lot of his opponents, he stepped up twice and lost twice.

But what we shouldn't do is write off young fighters because of a single defeat, especially a shock defeat, sometimes it just happens but now we will see if Hutchinson goes away licks his wounds, learns and comes back a better fighter or if the hype was just that.. hype.

 

Turn up for the books.

Was big hype on Hutchinson after his amateur career.

Perhaps Clarke himself is better than people realised.

 

These “young” fighters like Yarde, Dubois, Hutchinson, Kelly just need to realise not everyone can be Mayweather, a loss isn’t the end of the world. They can still go on and be superstars, world champions maybe. It’s a bad example because hes **** but Dillian Whyte was brutally KO’d by AJ early in his career and gone on to earn amazing money. Then the likes of Groves, Bellew, Degale, Froch all had losses before going on to be world champions.

 

I just read Hutchinson’s pre fight comments. “If I can’t beat this bin man there’s no place for me in boxing”....
