Ok, here it goes. The WBA receives Holyfields protest and decides to REVERSE the decision, with Holyfield the victor. No rematch, Holyfiled gets his 5th title (in which he deserves, if you watched the fight). He retires as a 5 time heavyweight champion. The WBA orders a title fight between Valuev vs Chagran(sp). Win Win for everybody! What do you think? To easy for these idiots to figure!
That would NEVER happen and never has outside of a positive drug test. And we know which boxer that scenairo is more likely to happen to.
valuev is not getting robbed if the win is changed, and I bet he would'nt put up much of a fight about it he knows he lost the fight.
Seeing as how Chagaev is the WBA champ it isn't possible for Holyfield to really be a "five time champ" as Valuev isn't the champ.
He won the fight according to two of the judges at ringside. Several independent jugdes has scored the fight afterwards and all of them are agreeing that it was a close fight, some for Holyfield and some for Valuev. It would be a disgrace stripping Valuev an that basis.
I think the decision was wrong - but a blessing in disguise. If Holyfield was/is awarded the Belt - with the amount of debt that he has - he would try to defend it. Remember - he said GOD still has him fighting, so that he can UNIFY the Titles. Does that sound like a guy that's ready to retire? And to whom would he be able to defend his Title against - that wouldn't seriously hurt him. I think he should have won the fight - but happy the didn't. Yeah he got robbed - but it's the best thing that could have happened to him. He should just take that paycheck - cash it - and move on to life without Boxing. It's officially a wrap for him.
Funny, didn't see Holyfield ever making much of a fuss about getting his 'draw' with Lewis reversed and what was rightfully Lewis's handed over.
