Those kind of vids **** me off. Wing Chun is an EXCELLENT martial art. Its not as theatrical as Wu Shu but they have similar roots in terms of chinse boxing and Kung Fu.I practiced Wing Chun as a child and still dabble in it.You`ll find most of the elementary techniques are in-cooperated in almost all martial arts ranging from Silat to Boxing. Most seem to spend there time picking it apart in attempts to rubbish its credentials. Bruce Lee practice Wing Chun and used it as his base for Jeet Kun Do. Bruce Lee was one of the best practitioners of martial arts the world has ever known. As for its usefulness in a MMA thats obviously debatable. But early UFC`s where style was pitted against style are not a measure of Wing Chun in the slightest. If you see some of the Sifu`s demonstrate sticky fingers of which some can do it blind folded its incredibily impressive to watch. As well as teaching you basic anatomy and where to hit someone to hurt them along there centre line you have a very good basis for most martials arts. So the next time your foe takes the "Sitting Horse" position be afraid.Be VERY afraid!!!
I thought it was a pretty good video. I myself have dabbled in wing chun. Other than the blowout fight loss the video did show some pretty cool stuff.
