Winky deserves a shot at Pavlik's title!!!

:good Agreed. Go Winky. I always liked the guy. He comes to fight. He doesn't back down from anyone. He brought the fight to JT and Hopkins and they were clearly the naturally bigger guys.

I hope this fight happens.

 

Arum doesnt seem intrested in making it. There bitching cause Winky turned Pavlik down before Pavlik ever became Champ.

 

Taylor didn't. I'd hate to have him waste a date beating some opponent senseless who damn near shows up to lose. Rather see him fight Winky sooner rather than later.

 

Winky and Abraham are the only guys at 160 who are currently capable of being competetive. I think Winky would be the more difficult fight. Stylewise winky is a hard night. Based on style vs style Abraham is a custom made Pavlik victim.

yes but i would rather see him fight a belt holder just so ther is no dispute but winky first and then a belt holder aint bad or vise versa as lon as winky gets a shot in his next 2 fights as he is getting old and any later would be questioable due to the fact that it could be looked at as waiting till he's fully declined and would olny be verified if Pavlik dismantles him in brutal fashion if he makes him wait more then 1 more fight. thats just the way most of the public would see it

 

You're right about that more of a reason than JT ever gave us before he had to fight Pavlik

Pavlik doesn't 'owe' Winky anything. Pavlik should do what he said he was going to do and that is unify. I think he should try to unify the belts first and if he has to fight Winky in a mandatory along the way then so be it.

 

That's true I think I'd rather see him unify first and then fight Winky if they both kept on winning. I hate watching Winky fight.

 

I'm being 100% honest when I say this:

Last time I checked, Sturm didn't have an opponent for his April fight. If I were Pavlik, I'd step in and make that fight. It would be a unification fight and I honestly believe that Kelly wouldn't need the training time to beat Sturm. I think Pavlik could literally step in and beat Sturm. Kelly is in great shape (obviously) after having gone the distance with JT.

I'd like to hear some opinions on this but does anybody think that KP stepping in and facing Sturm in April would be a crazy idea? I think he could pull it off.

 

winky will probably turn it down cause he heard mayweather s gonna get 20 mill at wrestlemania.
