Winky-Forrest at 154

When?

If the Prime Forrest who beat Mosley moved up then, or the Forrest who fought Quartey and Mora?

I'd go with Winky beating either of them though.

 

Not many fighters in history could beat a prime winky at 154

 

I was just thinking about this matchup today so you must read minds. I'd have to go with Winky as I think Forrest would be lost figuring out Wright's defense and would probably be broken down. Wright UD12.

That's the same Forrest who lost to Mayorga twice. The very awkward Mayorga. Forrest would have never KO Winky so by the time he figure Winky out, he would lose a decision.

 

I like Wright on points.

 

It's strange, i consider Forrest as better than him when i consider him as a fighter, and watch him. But it seems Winky is held in higher regard and possibly rightly so, when he was being avoided he was just one very effective operator. I reckon though, that Forrest is not going to be dominated by the jab and just walk into him. If you can draw Winkboy onto your shots then you can counter him yourself and win, by taking him out of his comfort zone, but Forrest ain't a master strategist a la Bernard Hopkins. If Forrest can trade with him he'd win, but maybe Winky would actually outjab him, i'm going with that. I like Forrest more as well.

 

This would have been a boring fight and no one would have remembered the winner.

 

I'd go with Winky actual winning, but given Winky's career losses the decision might have gone to Forrest. (much like the Vargas fight)
