WOW, Winky is a tough son of a ***** to keep getting up like that he was taking some SERIOUS PUNISHMENT That guy is a tough son of a ***** too, ****, he was putting the hands on Ronald!!!
Great post! Winky's fanboys were saying it was the "paint on the canvas" that caused the knockdowns. LMAO!!!!
I knew about this but never seen it before This I believe was a early career challenge for Julio Cesar Vasquez's WBA Light Middleweight Title. After this fight Wright learnt alot and improved alot to become one of the games top fighters
Look's like a winky fan here Dont compare a 147 to a 160 or 170 fighter by the way you must be pisssssssss :rofl :hey :hi:
The man who drops Winky is Julio Cesar Vasquez,at that time the best light-middleweight of the world. He was even more highly regarded then his wbc counterpart Terry Norris. It was a defence of his wba belt.Winky was relatively inexperienced while he fought Vasquez and there is is no shame in losing to a very experienced solid champion as Vasquez. He blamed the wet canvas but that was just an excuse.Being a very good fighter wasn't enough to beat a prime Vasquez, you needed to be a bit of a "special" fighter and Pernell certainly was that. For me Whitaker's victories over Vasquez and Azumah Nelson are his most impressive. Several years after the Whitaker defeat Vasquez was knocked out by Boudouani but in that fight he was only a shadow of the man who outclassed Winky.
No wonder he fights like he does. Not a chin issue, just his defence was crap. Winky just went up a couple of notches in my book, he got up right away from all of those. Consdiering he lost by 4 points average, those are probably the only rounds the other guy won.
