i just rewatched the hopkins fight, when hopkins opened a cut with an 'accidental' headbutt, it looked like winky was crying, he was moaning to the referee all throughout the fight and kept pawing at his eye even when it stopped bleeding, its like he never saw blood before and started panicking, if the same happened to hopkins i'm sure he wouldn't complain and would have fought on.
Anyone who goes 12 with Hopkins. 24 with Mosely. 12 with Quartey. 12 with Taylor. 12 with Tito. 12 with Vazquez. 12 with Vargas. etc....... Is NOT lacking in the heart dept.
ok he might have heart but he is a cry baby, he still cries over his losses, his excuse for the hopkins fight is 'too many headbutts'atsch
That's not enough. The fighter should also fight his way up through the ranks taking on all challengers and fighting overseas quite often. Also when he finally lands a big name and beats him convincingly, he should be willing and able to give him an immidiate rematch on fair terms, He should be willing to pick himself up off the canvass when he goes down. It's also not good enough to go 12 rounds with Tito, he should stand right in front of him the whole time... Oh wait a minute, Winky did all that ****, WTF is the thread starter talking about?
:-( BULLSH!T Getting headbutted hurts like a b!tch, blood gets in your eye causing vision loss, and Wright did fight on :deal and lost a very close fight, and whats wrong with complaining? a lot of fighters will do that if they feel like they were fouled:huh
there is a difference between complaining and the way winky complained, jermain taylor complained about headbutts, winky stopped and went to one knee while screaming ****.
I agree, I got pissed when he started bitching like that. Just ****ing deal with it and fight.
i was rooting for winky in that fight, but as soon as bernard cut him i knew winky would lose, it looked like he didn't want it.
Well yea he was "screaming ****" because he was in pain, atsch and he took the professional approach by fighting his as$ off, and not fouling or trying to make a street fight out of it, like Tyson did against Holy, and it was a very close fight, competitive enough to warrant a rematch..
