if Winky wouldnt have respect for what Tony throws that would get him stopped yes in his prime Winky was light years beyond clottey but Winky is an old man now, I dont see him beating Tony.

 

How is this a real fight?Winky is a MW who was a big JMW and Margo is a WW who has fought sporadic aat JMW where he was small.Winky is too big for Margo so I voted for him but this ain't a fair fight.How about LaMotta vs Margo at 154?It's the same thing as this,impossible

 

i think this is a good post.

margarito is raw but that doesn't mean he'll lose because of winky's credentials.

look what happened with vargas, debatable as it might be, winky got beaten by a heavy hitter.

people who say winky wins "easily" aren't being very objective imo.

i'll pick winky prime for prime though.

 

winky isn't a middle. he fought in the welters mostly.

 

Winky not even close he couldn't hit Winky flush with anything and Margo is not a power puncher he has decent power but not enough to hurt Winky.

 

4 major things would work against Margo in this fight.

1. Margo would not be able to impose his will on Winky, because Margo loses his size advantage moving up to 154.

2. Winky Wright has the best jab in the sport currently, which does not bode well for Margo.

3. Winky Wright has an amazing defense which makes it very hard to land any punches.

4. Winky Wright has an amazing Chin which means even if he could land a punch he would never be able to knock him out.

Sorry, I don't see Margo even having a remote chance at beating Winky.

 

Winky walks around at 195 lbs,he is clearly the bigger man,and Margo can't be a big JMW cuz he just isn't.He wa s10 lbs smaller than Santos,how can he be a big JMW?Winky is just to big

Actually Winky switched up his style to fight more defensively at a point after that fight. He wasn't always a defense-first fighter, used to be more of a slickster.

 

But Wright is a wider framed, naturally bigger man most people would say. Paul Williams is taller and has a longer reach than David Tua, is he a bigger man?

Anyway, depending on the sort of state an inactive Winky could come into this fight today, I would give Margo an outside chance of outworking Wright over the 12rds in a similar fashion to the unorthdox Soliman, who landed more on Winky than almost anyone. Howver, if the Wright who drew with Taylor turns up it'd be death by Jab :good
