Yes, He beat Mosley twice that alone does it for me, I had him beating Vargas and Taylor too, He has had a well decorated career and is surely hall of fame.
Good wins are just that good wins if thats all you need then you can make a case for so many its watered down. Hall of famer mean you are the elite of your era.
Based on his competition yes, but I'm not sure his style would be applicable in a different era. Perhaps someone has film that shows otherwise or knows of someone?
Fought everyone at 154, 2X champ, 11-3-1 title fight record, should have been the MW champ but was robbed against Taylor, beat a lot of the contenders at 154. Done.
Yeah, his fights with Taylor, Mosley, and Vargas all put me to bed. God damn some of you are st00pid.
And for how long was he this destroyer look man being a good boxer I will even say very good doesn't make you great he was a very good fighter but thats it to me,its a opinion you can have yours. But to me hall of famers are the very elite Bhop,Money,Pac and JMM
Well, maybe to you the elite is in YOUR HOF, but the truth is that the HOF does not induct super elite guys. Wright will EASILY make it when looking at who's in the hall. So, your opinion is invalid, because if you saw the people in the HOF, you would know you don't need to be elite to get it. Just very good.
So the hall of fame is filled with just very good boxers that needs to be changed like all hall of fames.Like I said he is a very good fighter no one can take that away, but I put hall of famers on a different level and he is just not there.
That wasn't the question though. Thread starter asks if he makes it. With the way the HOF for boxing works, he will. If people wanna say no, fine, it just shows they don't know how the HOF judges people. As much as I hate to say it, John Ruiz will probably make it on the distinction as the first lation to hold a belt at heavy.
I dunno. I feel if you accomplished something unique/never done or were very dominate, you're a shoe in. I don't know the exact criteria to get in, but I hear they induct guys all the time who never won titles. So, a guy like Wright who was one of the best 154 champs ever, he's gotta go in.
