Pirog is pretty damn good mate take a look at his fight against kofi jantuah , his upper body movement first class! he is a white guy who can slip punches for 12 rounds, pavlik would never get set with this kid.

I see a couple posters mentioned Pirog. I doubt if Pirog would take the fight. He's already the WBO mandatory. I'll be surprised if Pirog is willing to take the risk.

Where Winky is concerned, he may, or may not, be shot. If he can return to the same level he was at when he fought Taylor -- well -- ladies and gentleman -- we've got a fight on our hands.

Play along for a minute. Let's assume KP gets back to 2007 form with a few improvements, and Winky can get back to the form he was in when he fought Taylor.

If that were to happen, Pavlik/Wright would be a boxing fans dream fight type affair. The offensive monster vs the defensive master. For hardcore fans it doesn't get better than that.

There is no reason to believe Winky ever will return to form. He's an old, inactive fighter who has looked like **** in recent bouts, although he did perform better against Hopkins than Pavlik did. ;)

Kelly should get a lot of credit if he beats Martinez convincingly, then offer PW 60/40 and move up if Team Williams refuses. At 168 he should be able to move onto a Bute fight for good money and respect. If he survives that, he should move toward battling the winner of the tournament in a major PPV.

Pavlik has lots of good options provided he avoids any nonsense outside the ring and doesn't content himself with shitty mandatories for local-yokel PPVs.

Can't blame him, TOP RANK has been doing a far better job than GB lately and it's funny because TOP RANK isn't really run, represented and controlled by a group of actual fighters.

The competition is all great anyway, only a while ago people were expecting to see TOP RANK shut down due to GoldenBoy's domination. The competition is great for boxing as long as both continue to face off and care to shut each other up by providing good fights.

I'm willing to play along only so far though. Winky Wright cannot go back to his pre-2007 form of boxing. Hell there are some who question whether Kelly can regain that form he had in 2007.

Winky Wright vs Kelly Pavlik would only half heartedly satisfy those of who wanted to see the loud mouth Wright face off against Pavlik when Pavlik was on top of the world.

Do you really expect boxers to be better at the business end of things? Pac squeaks by JMM and goes on to become a HUGE financial success while JMM remained in the shadows as far as the public was concerned. People like to hate or Arum but you think Pac hates him? Haye found himself in over his head when he promised certain things to the Klitchko camp and couldn't deliver and finally had to go out and hire someone to negotiate the contract.

Similiar to how Pavlic kept breaking out with numerous yeast infections only to fight the cab driver Espino AFTER Williams and Martines signed to fight one another. Pavlic must be a fast healer.

    Not true.

GBP make fights happen. They put the best against the best. Top Rank is slowly trying to catch up.

That's not the fault of GBP as much as it's Nacho Beristain. Now I don't know which umbrella Nacho falls under (business man or fighter) but that's a little irrelevant when discussing GBP vs Top Rank.

Just trying to point out that just because you are good in a business doesn't mean you are good in every aspect of that business.

Shut the **** up you ignorant *****. Winky hasn't fought at 154 since November 2004.

The **** between Pavlik and Wright has been going on since 2005. I say let Winky win a couple fights, and then feed him to Pavlik.

You're just pissed because Arthur ducked Wright in the exact same manner that he failed to fight any other decent middleweight post Miranda.
