Winky Wright has hurt his left hand while sparring, His return fight on Dec 4 hasd been canceled.

Is this guy done ? I mean he is one of the best defensive fighters I have seen in some time and its messed up we can't see him fight.

Winky got countless offers and turned them all down, what is happening is his own fault. Why the hell would he demand more money coming off a loss?

To be honest with u, whatever... he is one of the most boring fighters out there anyways, I'm glad he lost to Bhop!

  7. Winky is burning bridges by the minute. He's a hypocrite and he won't get another chance like Mosley and Trinidad gave him. He will be stopped in his next fight or two no matter how good his defense is. I think he and Tarver should fight at 170

Too bad. Winky's been a gutsy fighter for a long time, and at his age any kind of injury is worrisome. He hasn't helped himself by taking such a long layoff. He probably should have taken a page out of Glenn Johnson's book and stayed active even if it's just a "stay busy" fight while he was waiting for another big payday.

I'm not writing Winky off, though. He remains a top tier fighter and a tough nut for anybody to crack.

You guys are really critizising Winky but you have to remember that this guy has been on the bad end of very bad judges decicions and was always ducked by all fighters, I understand he should have taken advantage of that when it was there but maybe he was to pissed of at the game and is now ready to come back, but it might be to late, hopefully not.

I still feel bad for Winky. Good management would have made him a more widely known HoF/ATG.

Hard to believe they canceled the entire card - looking forward to seeing what Winky has left.
