Winky Wright-Paul Williams at 154 and 160

If Wright isn't dehydrated making 54 and doesn't nearly die at the scales, I'd pick him and definitely pick him at 160

 

Winky by WIDE UD at 154. Winky by a slightly closer UD at 160.

 

Why do you think it'd be closer at middleweight?:think

 

I think Winky would win a UD at both weight classes. PW doesnt have enough power to get through that guard. I think WInky would land the cleaner effective shots, to a relatively easy UD.

 

I'm assuming we're assuming Winky can comfortably make 154 still. So if he actually did he would be better conditioned and have less weight so he would have much more going down the stretch. I think Williams will be able to outhustle him late and steal some rounds up at 160lbs.

 

Winky hasnt fought because nobody wants to fight him, he is a boring fighter that will make the best fighter look bad, plus he is not a PPV attraction and that goes against his money demands.

 

paul williams is all over the place, stinky will block most of his wild shots.

clotty vs williams would be similar.

 

Winky is a bad fight for Williams.


Also I think it would be at 160 most likely because I dont think Winky would go to 154 (he was at 170 last wasnt he?) Even at best they might do a catchweight like maybe 158 or something if Williams was lucky.


Williams will be alot weaker than Wright at 160 and Wright will be able to block most of his shots. Even with a highworkrate it wont be enough because Winky will be stronger and be able to push Williams around and place him where he wants him in the clinches.

Let's not forget that Winky was able to take SMW's Taylor and LHW's Hopkins best shots and was never hurt. He was stunned a few times simply from the sheer force of the shots but never hurt. Williams can't hurt Winky.

And Winky is not a great counter puncher but i can see him countering well in this one. Quintana isn't that fast handed nor is he a great counter puncher but he had a lot of success by boxing smartly against Williams.

 

I would like to see this fight. I picked Winky.
