When discussing hypothetical matches, Winky vs Margarito never gets mentioned , Who wins, **** I'd still interested in watching this fight even thought they are both well past their primes

C'mon is this a joke? Winky is one of the best ever 154 . . . Margo is probably not the best fighter on his street. Winky beats him with or without the plaster

Margo may steal it on activity, but it's much more likely that Winky busts him up all night with a beautiful Jab and hard lefts to the body.

    117-111 for Winky.

I don't see how anyone can pick Margarito. He has nothing to trouble a man that could hang with legit middleweights. Margarito's biggest advantages against the fighters he beat are not even at play. Winky is not that much shorter, he's bigger, can take punches from the best of them and I can't even see how Margarito hits him. He's too slow and even the fastest of them had trouble with Winky. Margarito isn't even as good as the old Tito Winky fought. Winky totally outclasses him and embarrasses him. Remember, this isn't another 147lb fighter. This is a legit 154lb that has fought guys who are now fighting at 168 and 175lbs and was not hurt by them.

Even if he did, I'll still pick Winky. I doubt he'll be able to lay a full glove on him.

People may say Winky Wright, but I could see Margarito walking through his pillow punches, and overwhelming him llike Sam Soliman did in the fight which he was robbed where he exposed Winky, by smothering him keeping up relentless pressure which Hopkins, and Williams did also

Definitely Winky. BUT it should be noted Winky always struggled with swarmers or high volume punchers like Solaiman and Williams but to be fair Winky was past his prime vs Williams. But I still think defensive fighters like Winky always struggle stylistically with pressure fighters that throw many punches just like Floyd struggled wirh Castillo. Winky MD12 Margarito Winky wins by taking shots and counterpunching but it would be a very physical exhausting fight for both. Winky doesnt have the power to ko him either unlike Mosley.

You think Margarito can't do what the soft hitting Sam Soliman and later Paul williams did, you think the slow footed fighter with only 2 punches in his repertoire (jab, and slapping left), would be able to keep Margarito off of him, who's one of the greats at bringing constant pressure

What a complete and utter mismatch ....

Winky traveled any and everywhere and had a lot of fights so he had the odd poor performance - but Margarito has about 1/100 of Winky's skill level, talent, ability, technique, etc., etc.
