Margarito NEVER made noise at 154. By the time Margarito was hot, Winky already had was a legit middleweight fighting the likes of Hopkins at 170. Why would he be worried about a oversized welter who can't even beat ONE legit 154lber?

Mosley was fighting without his secret weapon in the 2 Wright fights:deal

 what does this have to do with the thread but since you bring it up, post a video or gif of a Winky punch hurting Mosley, better yet post one where he hurt anybody who wasn't a bum and bottom feeder:deal:deal:deal

I was thinking the exact same thing. I remember Merchant calling the DLH-Pacquiao fight as Oscar facing "death by a 1000 left hooks." I see Margarito facing death by a 1000 jabs. Winky would make him eat those jabs like peanuts.

Margarito would walk through them IMO and not allow Winky to take breather's like he was know to, while pounding the body

Good post. I would favor Winky if they fought. But it's not like Winky will just have a field day and pick shots off whenever he pleases (as some seem to suggest). Fighting a volume puncher takes a much different strategy then facing a more orthodox fighter. For one, Winky being on the defense, shelling up (as he did vs, Williams) will not get it done. You HAVE to punch back. And if you aren't landing the better blows, you better be landing more of them. The thing is Winky's just not as effective when he has to fight back, as he is when controlling the fight. Look at when he fought JC Candelo. While Winky won every round, he worked for those rounds. One example of a close fight that isn't reflected in the scores. Hell, even Sam Soliman made it tough for Winky. Ands Soliman isn't half the fighter Tito was.

Winky would defenitely be the fave, but it's not a foregone conclusion he wins big.

It just made no sense how it went down. Arum and Margarito lay the challenge to Winky. Winky says no, then comes back w/ GBP backing him on an offer to Margarito? :huh Winky's made several bad business decisions that are confusing.

Like I said, I would favor Winky (and that was when I was still a huge Margarito supporter), but I do htink he'd have to work for it.

Winky is the definition of a chump/cherry picker real talk, his whole career made little sense to me how do you duck fights ODH, Mayweather, Taylor, Margarito then cry nobody wont fight him:lol:

No he would not! Winky Wright is bigger than anyone Margo's faced. His jab may not be a KO shot, but it is stiff and very accurate. You think Margo would walk through them but Tito couldn't?

This fight would be drastically one sided. Horrible matchup for Margarito. Don't forget how good Winky Wright was at 154. He's one of the best 154lb fighters ever.

Winky = Worst Managed Fighter in history :patsch Some of his decisions were downright ridiculous. Decline the rematch with JT....now that was a smart move!!!! :-(

He may have been big but he had no punch the main reason WW were enticed to fight him such as Oscar, Mosley Tito, and Mayweather, he got a taste of his own medicine when Paul Williams another blown up WW gave him the beating of his life

As far as his resume goes you can't call him of of the best at 154, cause he ducked way too many fighters, he would have been exposed if he fought ODH or a Prime Vargas(a fighter who already beat him BTW), I mean damn could we have least got a Forrest match, his best victories at 154 was agaist a blown up 135 pounder come on now, 147 and 154 was stacked at the time, but look at his resume and see the amount of bums he fought, while complaining no one wont fight.

When Williams faced him, he was nowhere near his best. Not even close. The fact that you are using the Williams fight for any form of basis for argument kinda tells me you don't know what you're talking about.

This really is an easy answer....Winky by WIDE UD.
