Winky is too solid defensively to get caught by Abraham's hooks, and his chin is solid aswell. In my opinion anyway.

Winky's inactivity doesn't matter, his style is based around his technical ability and smarts not his physical capabilities, that's why like Hopkins no matter what age they are both still capable of beating the best around.

Good for Winky he needs to fight soon, too much inactivity will affect him or every other boxer. Even though I am not excited about this fight if it happens I'll see it, not so sure if I'll pay for it though (prob not)

If Winky still has it he should win this by UD. A limited guy like Abraham won't beat a great technican like Wright.

I've been back and forth on who to place at #2 and #3 at 160. This fight would answer that question, but I seriously doubt if it will happen. I don't think any one other than Calzaghe would be allowed to disrupt Pavlik/Abraham.

I agree. But I guess Winky is still a big name and Abraham will take it.

Abraham or not, i'm glad Winky is getting back in the ring. He just needs to fight again so he can remind people that he still exists and is relevant.

If the WBC and WBO would agree to make the winner Kelly's next mandatory, and if all parties promoted it correctly, it would make Pavlik facing the winner a HUGE fight. Here's a fascinating "what if" scenario. Pavlik/Abraham early next summer with Arthur coming off wins over Miranda and Wright, and Kelly coming off wins over BHop and Calzaghe. A true changing of the guard and a HUGE mega-fight. And hey, this is boxing, anything can happen.

Something tells me that with Abraham's slower plodding style and Winky's defense defense and more defense style this fight would be a real snoozer.

I could see Winky refusing to adapt to Abraham's big power shots and losing a decision (which would be a robbery to some on the boards). I think Winky will be too tentative and drop a fight he should win easily.

If this fight happens, I'm going with Wright by decision. It could ruin a fight with Pavlik in the future as well.

Ahh, but that's assuming Abraham beats Winky which he won't. Abraham is way too inactive. Winky UD. I don't see Abraham fighting Winky. High risk, somewhat low reward. I mean his big pay day is with Pavlik and all he has to do is beat the bum he's fighting next and expect Pavlik to win and the megafight is made. Why risk facing a guy like Winky? Doesn't make business sense if you ask me for Abraham.

Nope -- It does not make any sense at all for AA. I would not be surprised to see Winky win either. Moreover, it is not a particularly appealling match-up.

And, Marquez is no bum. He's old and going to get stopped, but he's no bum!

You forget that we are talking about Ronald "Rusty" Wright, not the "Winkster" that schooled Trinidad/was on his way to beat Taylor.

AA is too much in shape comparing to Wright being too much outta it.

    AA by late KO...
