Winky Wright vs. Arthur Abraham being discussed for January.

pavlik doesn't like winky?...all i've seen from pavlik is that he has the utmost respect for winky. he calls him a legend every time he talks about him.

 

Winky will mess it up by asking for toooo much money just like he always does.

 

Winky is starting to come around to some extent, because he was turning down any and all of these "European" fighters just as recently as a year or so ago.

Team Pavlik called Winky out numerous times when KP was on his way up. Winky ignored him. After KP won the title, Winky basically demanded a fight. Arum told Winky to go fight Sturm, and come back with something Kelly wants. Winky ignored him. Before they made Pavlik/Hopkins Top Rank offered Winky $1.5 million and a cut of the PPV revenue. (Everyone else was offered $1.2 million or less, and no cut of the PPV, except for Williams who was offered a straight $1.5 million.) Winky acted like he was going to take the fight, but ultimately turned it down, and then accused Pavlik of ducking him.

I only know of two fighters Pavlik has trash talked, and one of them is Winky Wright: "He's small and doesn't hit very hard. I'd love to smack him around the ring!"

 

That deosn't look right. Even his forearm looks wrong.

 

Winnable fight for wright.Abraham has good power but not a huge amount of skill as he showed in both miranda fights.Even in the second fight miranda was dominating him for three rounds until his ruined chin gave out on him.

European??? Abraham is white,and so is an Iranian , a Russian, or a warrior from the Pashtun tribe in Afghanistan,but have never head anyone claim that Armenia is a part of europe.

 

So what?? Abraham usually gives the first few rounds away,but at the end of the day AA is the one who is the victor of a fight.
Every fighter has his own style.Boxing is not a beauty contest! AA gets his job done-usually by ko.Can you really ask for more??

 

If someone is paying to watch, then yes. What happens when you get two people in the ring only willing to throw for 30 seconds a round? This technique only works if you let it. He has been lucky in that regard so far. Winky may just let him stand there shelled up and return the favor. Great stuff that would be. :-(

 

That better not be normal. It looks swollen, possibly injured.

 

Pro boxing is a business,but AA is a huge draw in Germany.People do pay to watch him.His fights are sold out.Hence he must do the right thing,dont you think so!

Been lucky? He has beaten all his foes up to now.I wouldnt call this lucky,hermit!

Besides he seems to have a decent matchmaker.

 

Abraham also have a German passport and therefore counts as a European...
