It was a close fight and he blew it. It wasn't a robbery regardless of who you scored it for. Vargas knew how to go for it even though he was basically the worse fighter. Winky let fights get away from him like that one, Jermain Taylor, and Simon. He couldve won all of those with a different mentality.

Charlo, like Vargas, is another guy who gets wins against guys who can potentially outbox him because he puts in the extra effort and goes for it.

Are you trolling or serious? Winky had fought once in 3 years (against Bernard at LHW), it was one of Winky's last 2 fights as a professional, and that's proof Winky couldn't beat Charlo? I guess because he lost to Quillin, that's proof too huh?

Also, Fernando Vargas had far more power, and was more aggressive than Little Twin and Winky took it to him.

Ah yes, for mythical matchups, its of course always good to pick fights and versions of the fighter when they are years removed from their prime, inactive, and one fight away from retirement.

I know people have a habit of using fighters near their peaks for these matchups but hopefully over time more people will come around to see the sense in using the past it versions.

Castano vs Vazquez would be an all-out war TBF; and so would Charlo vs Vazquez.

I'd take JCV to stop both, if I'm honest.

Vasquez was probably more heavy handed than Charlo, even dropped Sweet Pea

It would. Very big puncher but he has a lot more losses on his CV than he should of due to fighting long past his prime. Like 10 of his 13

Wright would probably win in a competitive fight.

Winky, but we have the totality of Winky's career in the books. Charlo is still going.

Both were highly ducked but winky still managed to get some big fights...
Most of the big fights he got were past his prime though.
I don't see him out boxing Charlo like he did with Tito...it would be a much tougher and closer fight ..but wrights chin would hold up and he would escape with a hard fought UD
