    I see your point. I guess we'd just have to find a fight when he was younger and had more pop(like he said he did) against an opponent who wasn't world class, since he didn't fight any during that period.

    it's easy to have more pop sometimes against guys who aren't good fighters to begin with.

    sometimes moving up in class (in terms of opposition) balances things out a little more.

    So than maybe that explains why he didn't stop kessler or come remotely close to putting a bruise on hopkins face.

    joe and kessler definitely hurt each other in that fight.

    joe admitted it and kessler (around 5-6) was definitely hurt to the body.

    hopkins is a master boxer, regardless of what people think of his entertainment value, and nobody has ever looked good against him.
