The defensive cautious ear muff style of Winky wright with well timed probing right jabs and chopping left crosses, he put his punches together smoothly, preferring mid range distancing but he could box your head off from long, Ronald was a classy operator. Wright walked down Shane mosley and backed mosley up in their first encounter, he outstrengthed him, used angles, blocked mostly everything and gave him a lesson, man against boy. One of his best wins. :good He had decent power, but not hellacious like the man he will be facing. Wright was never stopped he had a watertight defence and He had a top chin. Winky's handspeed was decent in my opinion, nothing special. 5'10 72inch reach a decent sized light middleweight. Went 12 rounds many times, He was very well prepared to go the distance in each fight. Similar opponent: Felix Trinidad at 160lbs, a long levered puncher with 50% of the power and less speed. Easy win for Winky, boxed the ears off trinidad with the jab.

    vs

One of the most brutal punchers of all time. The Hawk Julian Jackson. Lights out if he connects, both hands carried dynamite. If you want too see a highlight reel of Deadly Knockouts you tube julian jackson. :admin He was a very quick puncher in my opinion, top handspeed and that contributed to his power. Julian Jackson could be outboxed, when he was outboxed made to look silly by herol graham for 4rounds, he responded in kind, by starching herol with one of the deadliest right hand ko's ever, Norris was outboxing him in the first and despatched in the 2nd. He probably had the most effect to his opponents nervous system, than any other puncher. He didnt just put you out of the fight, he'd put you out of your senses. Right hand deadly, left hook deadly. check what he did to buster drayton. Julian jackson could box aswell, underated skills, But he didnt have a top defence when he faced an even bigger monster in Mccellan he was beaten up. When he faced a superior boxer and a man of iron in Mccallum he was finished in 2. but he did hurt them both, you needed a chin made of granite to withstand his power. 5'11 in height, 73inch reach, another decent sized light middleweight. Similar Opponent: Herol Graham, Southpaw, top boxing skills definitely more elusive and quicker than and unorthodox to winky, but he didnt tuck up aswell, his defence wasnt as good and his chin could be cracked.

I think Wright was solid enough and had sound enough defense to be able to avoid being caught by Jackson. I don't see Wright having any trouble out boxing Jackson I think he'd land his jab all night and though he'd never seriously hurt Jackson he'd bust him up on route to a clear cut decision win.

Wright had enough style to outfinesse and outwork Jackson for that UD.

I think Wright would decision him. A green Wright was hurt by Julio Ceasar Vasquez but prime Wright was just slick enough to outbox Jackson and avoid many power punches.

What a tough call !!! You could make a case that Jackson catches him with a bomb, because he had crippling power at 154... But, I think a very focused Winky could keep him at bay with that southpaw jab and tight defense...

Wright is being overrated as Hell here.

Jackson stops him. Winky's defense of blocking with his gloves would bite him in the ass big time against The Hawk.
