MM should jump at the chance if he can. That would be a big fight for him in America against a big name who is past it.

Still think he'd have too much for Macklin though.

Wow! Macklin would probably lose, but Winky, despite wanting to remain active, has not fought in over a Year and only twice in nearly 3 years.

He's getting old, once his defence slips his effectiveness as a fighter will be done. Still, Williams is an offensive machine and couldn't budge Winky, bar Macklin not being dissuaded by Winkys punches (not a bad possibility of that IMO, Winky has never been a puncher, just not certain of how vulnerable Macklin is or not, the Moore fight woulda made mincemeat out of many good chins, so not sure whether Macklin can take a good whack up at 160 or not) and managing to land consistently good shots and not allowing Winkys jab to pick him off.

Very tough fight, but one that, you never know, could happen at just the right time. I'll side heavily with Wright at the moment though, assuming he's still a 'live' fighter.

It would be a pretty strange fight to take for Winky, there's easier tune ups if thats his plan and bigger money ones if he's cashing out. But then again Winky does make some strange decisions.

Btw forget that Williams fight, which was a horrible style match-up. Wink still beats most middleweights and i don't care how inactive he is he can still beat Macklin blind folded with one arm.

One of my favourite ever fighters. Loved watching him on sky back in the day.

    Winky schools that arse.

Looking at Williams Winky , you'd have to favour Winky in this fight , i was all excited looking at the thread title actually thinking Winky was coming to the UK , that would be fantastic Winky Wright on UK soil !!! :good

Anyway id be favouring Winky here in a competetive but fairly comfortable UD ..................

This would be an interesting fight but not sure why Winky is still fighting.

macklin should leave winky alone and try and make a fight with a manfredo if hes looking for a big name, only with manfredo the risk is minaimal, thgink i heard danny jacobs had a fight lined up with manfredo not too long back ?
