Winky Wright vs Matthew Macklin - April 9th

    Well, Winky looks like he's back again. I wonder if he'll actually fight twice this year, or just take another two year hiatus.

    Either way, I want to say Wright is the superior boxer, rather than Winky was the superior boxer a one point, which is the case here.

    I dunno what Winky has left, mixed with I'm not sure if Macklin's good power is truely world class. And all in all I just haven't personally seen too much of Macklin honestly, which I will make sure I do my homework on.

    But looking at Macklin's resume, mixed with what I think Winky has left, my gut feeling is to say that Winky will pull out a competitve decision.

    Wright SD10 Macklin.

    After I watch more of Macklin, I may very well change my thought about this fight.

    Thoughts?

    that guy versus an aging, cagey operator who's far far far past his best and suffering from inactivity? Winky's getting mauled. And it'll be sad.

    Look who he has been beaten off Hopkins , Williams. Mackin???? I thought he lost to that cab driver he fought last...

    I like that the vid you post, is of the guy losing :lol:

    But seriously, he looks like a dangerous guy, with good power, and all of his good features will be amplified being that Winky's ring rust will have to be massive.

    But for now I'm gonna stick to my guns, on a close Winky decision. At the very least, I don't think Macklin will be the first person to stop Winky.

    PS, your quote sounds an awful lot like what people were saying about Bhop right before his fight with Pascal :think. Not that I think Winky is a Bhop, but I just like to stick with my Vets sometimes.

    But yea, I deff wouldn't have expected Winky to have Macklin as his comeback opponent.

    I favor Winky but I also admit I'm ridiculously biased since Winky is someone I pull for no matter what. Even fighters like Adamek who I like more I can recognize their downside but no so much for him.

    Depends on how shot Winky is, Macklin's nothing special imo and he's just waiting to get exposed.

    Macklin looked absolutely HORRIBLE in his last fight. I say Winky should take this even if he's only 10% of what he once was.

    Macklin couldn't have been worse in his last fight so you'd expect him to be better. That said, you have to bet that Winky will still outbox him.
