He's really lucky not to have been knocked out late (and Varon is no KO artist). He also didn't look great prior to that on the Magnificent Seven card, either. His opponent was just ****. With his physical talent he should have had that guy out of there in half the time. He's just mentally soft. Eating just a round's worth of Winky's counter jabs will ruin his appetite for engagement for the evening.
It'll be good to see Winky back in the ring. He has been on the shelf for fall too long. Hopefully, that won't be his undoing, in this fight.
I was under the impression that Macklin was suffering badly from a chest infection for the Varon fight? No? I think it was well publicized. Old winky beats him - 38 year old, laid up for 2 years winky loses a decision - Macklin will be well up for this
