Hm, that´s a tough one. At first glance most would likely chose Walker but Winky was a very tough opponent to beat. Both had high workrates but I think Winky with his about 1000 punches over 12 rounds has a bit better one. On the other hand Walker has the harder punches. Winky´s defence is hard to overcome but could be troubled with a good/high workrate - see the Taylor and Soliman fights. I could see Walker locking Winky in his own shell from time to time, landing hooks to the side on the head and the body. I take Walker by UD in a hard and surprisigly entertaining fight.

The style matchup is in favour of Winky imo, he likes this kind of fighter. But the thing is, Walker is a come forward fighter of the highest quality, true great. One could deem Walker 'too great' for Winky, on the other hand, one could say that Winky wins because of a stylistic thing, covers up and rams the jab out all-day. Or does Walker get his power shots and great combos in?

I'll take Walker, reluctantly, maybe should be, Wink though.

Well, Winky likes to walk his opponents down. He was a huge 154-pounder and could do it there, less at mw. But still, look at the Taylor fight. Taylor was supposed the bigger man but Winky came forward, jabbed and walked Taylor down at times. Winky is a very strong dude. Could he do the same to Walker? I doubt it. And look how he reacted when he got backed up, it was visible against Taylor at times, against Hopkins and against Vargas at times. He does not like that very much.

The reasons i said it was a beeter style matchup for Walker is that, although the points you outlined about Winky's style, he also liked guys to come to him and try to tee off, he would block everything as though he saw it an hour before it came, and then catch them with jabs and shots before they shaped back up. In theory he could do this against Walker. And Winky was one of the strongest 154s ive seen, thats why he could simply use the guard and let guys come forward, like (pst prime) Tito. But Walker was immensely strong, his achievements at higher weights can testify to that. This is a hard fight to judge, but Winky can be beaten, imo, he was just off the top level of greats, and that would be the argument for Walker here, as he was one of them. He could ram home shots from a great arsenal he has to pick his tools from, and keep going.

I know you see the styles matchup different to me, but its debatable this one.

For the record though Loewe, i had Taylor beating Wink.

Well, I see your points but imo Walker would push Winky on the backfoot and while Winky can fight there it´s not where he is most comfortable at. Also while his defence is good, it has the disadvantage of letting the side of the heads and body open. Hopkins and Taylor hit him there and Walker would do so too. Winky was one of my favourite fighters when he still fought regularly. I just don´t think he has much of an style advantage there. I agree with his style he would pose problems to most fighters at 154/160 in history. Hard to beat he is.
