How will Winky win a round mate? He has no advantage here at all, he'll get KTFO.

 

This idiot does anything to pimp Hatton and downgrade Calzaghe, no sane boxing fan would pick Wright.

 

This is what I meant by my statement that it would resemble Mayweather-Hatton. It's as far removed stylistically as you can get from that fight, but would still be a much larger, much more skilled fighter outclassing and finally overwhelming and putting away an opponent with no business sharing a ring with him.

Although it's correct, the Floyd-Hatton comparison is a bit insulting to Winky. Winky IS pretty much one-dimensional (like Hatton), but that one dimension was great and he was a true elite fighter at one time and in a P4P sense he could compete with Kessler. That time was at 154 pounds and quite a few years back though. At this point, picking anything but a Kessler blowout isn't logical.

 

He's fed that Wright is so skilled that he can accomplish higher feats such as defeating an equally skilled larger and more powerful, younger man and he believes it because he has no analysation skills what so ever.

Wright even struggled with Taylor, was stunned multiple times by Taylor's rights.

Well, what's Kessler going to do? Knock him out after easily toying with him.

 

Kessler is a more skilled fighter than WInky.

WW has ended up being basically a pressure fighter, his legs are completely shot and he cant box-move any more. He still has that great open gloved defense and fast jab, but thats about it, and it isnt enough to beat a bigger man, especially a good bigger man like kessler.

Dont forget, Winky has been beaten up already at 160 - Soliman landed a million looping punches on him, and Taylor dominated whenever he took the middle of the ring. I just don't think he has the style to hang with naturally bigger guys.

 

This would be a very good technical matchup, both guys have good defense but are not runners. Id lean toward Kessler to outwork Winkster.

I was impressed with Yusef Mack , nice style good power but even though he knocked down Andrade with a real sweet shot he just didn't have the durability that Kessler had.

I woud like to see Mack vs Kessler . Good style match-up.

Kessler vs Winky ... the good little man against the good bigger man ... we know how that turns out. I would like Winky to retire while he still can talk, he definitely slurs his words. No one gets out of boxing unscathed.

 

Kessler would destroy Wright...Winky holds zero advantages at 168, save one- name recognition in the US. Thus, this would be a good fight for Kessler to take if he wanted to build up some positive buzz here following the Calzaghe fight.

 

Im just trying to be nice. Plus there is always going to be some ****** with like 4 posts who thinks Winky is Jesus, and would get realy pissed if I said he was going to get shut down.

Kessler is too big and too strong for Wright. Kessler can work at a fair pace and doesn't have much wear and tear on him at this stage. Wright isn't big enough to cope with what Kessler can bring, who also carries a fair dig. Kessler wins this down the stretch overwhelming Wright with size, strength and power.
