Winky is going down to pick up the easiest belt available. He might also be able to beat Forrest at 154, but the other title holders would beat him at this point.

If Alcine beats Santos this summer better than Dzinziruk did, then he is clearly the best in the division.

If Santos beats Alcine, then Dzinziruk should be seen as the best.

Dzinziruk caught Santos coming off a 15 month layoff and only won by close UD

    :patsch :patsch :patsch

other than perhaps the heavyweight division, find me a worse division than 154

Winky already has a very respectable resume. Whats so bad about him returning to his original division and coasting into retirement? I think he beats everyone at 154lbs only as long as he can be healthy at making the weight.

Phillips has something that belongs to Cory Spinks; I don't want to hear about him fighting anyone else until he gives it back. :bart

winky is not a marketable fighter and i believe he's just a few notches above spinks when it comes to marketability.

He would win against phillips for sure unless he gets robbed big time, at 154 he could establish his legacy after this fight. Theres this unification with forrest or a fight with spinks, alcime. I doubt dzinziruk fights someone on the top.

Every hardcore boxing fan who appreciates the sweet science would want to see winky fight spinks and forrest even though they could be boring

No way in hell can Winky get down to 154. I'll believe it when I see it.

I agree Spinks was robbed in that fight.

Oscar De La Hoya, Vernon Forrest, Sergei Dzinziruk, Joachim Alcine, Daniel Santos, Travis Simms, Winky Wright as the elite, Zaur Baysangorov, James Kirkland, Alfredo Angulo, Richard Gutierrez, JCC Jr., Joel Julio as the young guns, also Floyd for another Oscar fight, maybe Mosley and Mayorga for their fight, Phillips, Spinks, Powell - it's not that bad. But certainly not much action between them, which is very sad...

I don't see how Wright deserves this more than Spinks needs a rematch.
