Havent seen it mentioned here yet. Article is on another competing site if you google winky wright it pops up, fresh article 11 hours ago. He brings up some decent points about not being able to get fights with HBO while guys like Arreola get an HBO date right after being dominated and KTFO. Anyways how do you think he does against Pavlik? He seemed a bit off last time out and I am worried as a Winky fan.
He needs to stop crying. He didn't seem to give a **** about TV dates when he was boring the **** out of people with his boring ass style. Arreola may be vunerable but he's fun to watch. He gives the fans something which is not too ordinary these days. Anyways, he'd do better against Pavlik than he did against Williams. Sam Solimon proved how a good swarmer would do against Wright's defense. Williams is just a better version of that. Wright isn't fast enough to counter every swarming punch. He'd be able to counter Pavlik though. What good that'd do I'm not completely sure. Pavlik's right hands would hurt even with your guard up. It might be too much for an aging fighter to handle (yes, this is excuding BHop who looked anything but old that night).
That is why this thread from earlier today dies so quickly: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=191088
Didnt see it on here and I was on a few different times tody. Ive had a lot of threads die out soon amid all the Pac/PBF threads
I think you mean when he was unified 154 pound champion and dominating Tito Trinidad and giving Taylor a very hard fight, hardly boring.
Start fighting and start winning agian Winky then worry about title fights. Seriously the guy hasnt won a fight in exactly 3 years.
Then they should make it happen, i think Pavlik beats him but id love to see the fight.... id be amazed if Winky could beat him.
Sucks for Winky. Maybe if he had stopped whining maybe six or seven years or ago he might be getting air time with top quality opposition instead of a bench mark for up and comers.
