Apart from the Quartey fight the only times I saw Winky was back in 96/97 when he came over to Britain 3 times. He took Ensley Bingham, Steve Foster and Adrian Dodson to school, a shut out points win against Bingham and stopping the other two in the 6th. Against Bingham the commentators didn't seem to know much about him and were shocked at how easily he won.

The second Mosley fight; not surprising in a "bombs away!" manner, but in terms of a "whatever are they going to do next?" way. An exciting fight for a fan of skilled strategic boxers who aren't afraid to throw punches.

The Taylor fight was exciting at the time, but looking back on it the decision means that any tension can't build up; it was the ultimate anti-climax to defend an HBO hype-train.

"Big right hand!" shouts Lampley, "Yes, right on Wright's gloves, Jim!" I want to shout back.

Hopkins is much more consistently boring than Wright.

I think Vasquez was his most exciting fight, and one of the most exciting fights ever IMO.

    Taylor is a close second.

I agree. I also enjoyed his fights with Simon, Hernandez, and Quartey.

The Vasquez fight is one of the best fights ever IMO.

His reputation as "boring" is total bull****.
