This is a thread for people who claim Winky is boring and/or claim McKart was never a world class operator. Bear in mind; McKart won the vacant WBO title because the previous titlist got stripped for refusing to fight McKart. The Sky broadcast team showed considerable bias toward Winky. The fight was much closer than they called it, but in the end the judges got it right. - - [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZZtf4sqP5Y[/ame] - [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi06pSy9LlQ[/ame] - [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMYJ1x_1MOk[/ame] - [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NF263nTv4mU[/ame] - - This is a memorable, but under appreciated fight. Enjoy!

Well -- for all you guys who want to watch Wright/McKart I later, it's on You Tube. The quality is not great, but it's watchable. Winky/Bronco was an odd rivalry. I feel very strongly that McKart would have made a damn fine world titlist, but Winky always got in his way. Back in that day McKart could beat almost anyone in the division, but it always turned out that Winky was the guy he had to fight, and Bronco was just half a step slower than Winky, and never could really deal with that damn jab. They fought 3 times, and 3 times Winky won.
Quality thread, thanks for the post! Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the young Winky had completely different style that the mature one, in this fight he is more a boxer-puncher
I Love this version of Wright. The later version of Wright that was extremely defensive with a low work-rate was hard to watch, especially when you were used to seeing this high energy skillful version.
