The lemieux/n'dam fight is coming up next week in montreal. So with that said, assuming lemieux wins against n'dam, how big of an event in canada would it be if lemieux faces triple g in montreal, canada?

Lemieux has go on record to say he's not afraid of triple g. He'll fight him, not sure about n'dam.

What are lemieux's chances against triple g? Or n'dam?

N'Dam already refused to fight GGG on a few occacions, Lemi would take it and even make it a firefight for a couple of rounds before he'd get stopped

Why Montreal when GGG packs them in anywhere in LA-plus the Canadian buck is 20% LESS than the US dollar.Makes more sense that the fight takes place at the Forum in Inglewood,Besides both are basically promoted by LA entities-Golden Boy promotes David and GGG resides in LA as does Loeffler with K2 if I am not mistaken.

Lemiuex absolutely has a better chance than N'dam, N'dam would attempt to outbox Golovkin (I personally believe this can be done but not by him), he has shown he is a very fragile guy. Lemiuex would go all out and would pose a lot of trouble for at least the first few rounds.

Except that Lemieux is totally unknown in California. The meet-halfway point would be NYC where Lemieux recently got exposure and where Golovkin is a decent draw.

As for Lemieux's chances... not good. Golovkin's skills and power are on another level to N'Dam's and I'm not super confident he gets past him.

In terms of how "big" this would be, I would just compare Lemieux-N'Dam to Bute-Berrio and Lemieux-GGG to Bute-Andrade I.

Probably close to 10K attendance on 20 June, potentially close to 16-18K for a Golovkin fight.

Probably one of the better fighters ggg would have faced though Lemieux was beaten by a ggg victim.

*Lemieux beta version was. David 2.0 came out in the Rosado fight.

Night & day difference in conditioning and gameplan, all of which is a result of a trainer switch and the addition of a nutritionist.

I'm curious if triple g is unknown in montreal. If he fights there, he could get lots of exposure in canada cuz he would be fighting a canadian.

I say the fight should take place in montreal. I wanna see Golovkin live at the bell centre.

Anber (poing de vue), Chartrand (Boxe à RDS) and Paquin (LGC on RDS.ca) have all introduced Golovkin to Quebec tv viewers / bloggers.

When you look at comments made on Lemieux or Golovkin articles via RDS.ca, guys have one of two attitudes: either they don't know Golovkin and say Lemieux will break him in half or they know him and say that Lemieux is nowhere near ready for GGG.

This fight, if it comes on the backend of a Lemieux win over N'Dam, would have the entire province of QC screaming 'WTF!?!????'. :yep

If GGG fights Lemieux, the fight will NOT be in Montreal.
I see MSG as the venue for that fight. Lemieux has a punchers
chance but he needs to do it within 4 rounds or he gets KO'd.
The latter being the most likely outcome. David loads up too
much and he'll get beat to the punch by triples.

The only angle Loeffler would use to go with a Montreal fight is what he said about Lemieux after the Rosado fight (more less): "We are building Gennady's brand world wide because we feel that the true meaning of world champion is to fight all over the world. We'll keep going back to Monaco where Gennady has a following, and a unification fight with Lemieux in Montreal is entirely possible given our position."

So you're saying that new york will have a bigger audience than montreal?
