IF this fight gets signed and they make it happen...

PBF was the man @130, he fought JLC x2 @135 (PBF should of lost the 1st match), @140 he beat a shopworn Gatti for a bogus title(but a title nonetheless!), @147....FUC* FLOYD!

REAL KNUCKLE UP GEEZ KNOW WHERE I'M COMING FROM!!

I admire Floyd's skills, but not his last two fights and upcoming one, and claiming he's the man @147!

I'm a FLoyd fan, but I'm not into favortism. Knuckle up with the best or shut yo trap! Ya heard me!

If Cotto beats Margarito, he will CLEARLY have the best resume at 147.

If Margarito beats Cotto, I don't know. Margarito has a very poor resume right now, he's not an elite fighter. A win over Cotto would be his introduction to the top level.

I'm expecting Cotto to beat Margarito, so if he did, I'd consider him 'The Man' at 147 while Mayweather would have to be considered 'The Champ.' This leads me to one conclusion: Mayweather-Cotto in 2009 for all the marbles!

Typically, people on this site have always maintained that "the man" in each division is the lineal champ. If you want to give Cotto that crown without him ever beating the lineal champ, that's fine. However, let's keep it consistent.

This is far from a certainty. The only thing we know at this point is that Schaffer inquired with team Mayweather to gauge their interest in a possible rematch, they said they were interested. However, Hatton has dates with Lazcano and Malignaggi lined up. If he gets past those two, a fight with Hoya or Pac could also come to fruition.

    I really can't c Cotto losing against any 147#r

PBF can outspeed and counter Miguel, but he'll definitely slow down after eating some hard Cotto body shots

MArgarito, man, this is tough, Cotto has to work on his stamina and try to out work AM for the 12 or invest in good, hard body shots and hope Antonio timbers late...

the winner of Quintana-Williams is in the mix as well!

If PBF would defeat the above winner and COTTO vs AM, we can't deny his supremacy at WW. From a 130# champ to the MAN @147...AMAZING FEAT!

I already said that team Mayweather was interested in a rematch. However, Hatton has two fights lined up. A lot can change in those two fights. What if he loses? What if he looks bad in one or both of them? What if Hoya decides he wants to fight Hatton in his farewell fight? What if Cotto/Margo does 300k+? The point is, that fight is too far away to start acting like it's a certainty. Floyd says a lot of things that he doesn't mean. I don't think he would go to the U.K to fight Ricky, and I don't think he would drop to 140 like Hatton wants.
