Mayweather would have wins over DLH and Hatton.

Hatton would have wins over Urango, Castillo and PBF.

Who else has potential impressive resumes this year if they win?

Hatton is not in mayweather's league.

You could make an argument for Cotto being fighter of the year if he beats Mosley.

Maybe Floyd if he wins, but there's some real competition from the Calzaghe/Kessler and Mosley/Cotto winners, especially if Kessler and Cotto win. If Hatton wins, then he's definitely the leading favorite to win fighter of the year.

Also, the Marquez brothers should be candidates as well provided they win their next fights. Takefumi Sakata is another candidate.

I guess anybody who will have win over PBF would be fighter of the year.

If Cotto can KO Mosley, which won't happen because Mosley is going to win :yep but if it did, he's fighter of the year for me.

if hatton beats p4p #1 in mayweather along with a win over a great fighter in castillo he's got to be fighter of the year without question.

if cotto beats mosley that's a great win but not on a par with beating pbf, and although beating judah was good, judah was coming off of 2 losses in a row.

Hatton, obviously. Beating the number one p4p will get you a good shot at it. Not to mention he already beat urango and castillo.

If Hatton were to beat Mayweather I would go with him for fighter of the year, unless Cotto were to KO Mosley.

What about if Pavlik were able to KO J. Taylor on the heels of KO Miranda.

i dont see how there is competititon for hatton if he beats mayweather convincingly...

Tko'ing Castillo and then moving UP and beating Mayweather?

    hands down imo.

If he loses, then eather cotto if he beats mosley which i dont really think he will, or pavlik if he beats taylor

    its a tough race
