I can just see it now Hermit...****, massacare, onslaught, or whatever you preffer to call it...Dawson will make target practice and this will not be a fair fight IMO. I think this win will shut some critics up but you will still have some to say that Froch was overrated...Always happens that way. It really sucks.
I am the only person that thinks Froch wont win this tourney (he'll take too much damage with his style) but he'd beat Dawson (a guy that nearly got KO'ed by old Glen)?
:rofl:rofl Johnson would beat Froch as well...so your point being? Lets not forget that Taylor almost KO Froch as well...did that slip your mind?
I didn't see Dawson's last fight until well after the fact. I had read all of the people saying how boring it was. I watched and just scratched my head. At LHW you don't trade punches like some of the lower weights. Work, make openings, pick you spot. But, what do I know. Not much according to most.:deal
Against a good finisher Froch would not have made it out of the 3rd round. He was stumbling around like a drunken sailor long before the knockdown.
Well it depends on what type of fan you are...Me personally, I liked it because of the chess match that was involved...Dawson did a nice job of being patient and selecting his shots...I was thrilled to see how fast his hands were...You hit it right on the head...they were fighting like some lightweights IMO.:good
We can also say the exact same thing about Froch. Exactly...Froch was out on his feet when he was dropped but I gotta give credit when its due...Froch did weather the storm and stuck in there like a champ...I fully respect that in him as a fighter but the fact still remains, if Taylor was a finisher as you stated...Froch will be titleless and back to bottom of the chain...Froch is going to get beat in a bad way once he fights a guy who stays focused for 12 rounds.
Regardless, the winner of this tourney needs to fight Dawson. Americans know nothing about the SuperMiddleWeight division. Some probably don't even realize the division exists and assume it is sort of like the mythical SuperHeavyWeights.
You are out of your ****ing mind. I suspect you know this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_super_middleweight_boxing_champions Plenty of Americans have held the supermiddleweight title. I count atleast 10 from this list. Froch would get KO'd by Dawson within 5 rounds. But this will never happen because Dirrell will beat Froch by atleast 10 rounds - 2.
You had to look that up on Wikipedia! Most Americans probably just remember Roy Jones and James Toney having a few SMW fights about 10 years ago (and some not even really sure if it was a catchweight or what) and then someone named Jeff Lacy.
So at super-middle there is a unique, secret style of boxing that americans can't understand? You sir are a moron. I'm not an american for the record.
Perhaps the fight could be for the WBC Diamond Belt ( newly created CatchWeight belt) that would be sweet!! :mj That way neither fighter would have an advantage, it would be on even terms.
