S 6 has the best fighters in the world ? So, "four defeats' Taylor is among them. What about Direll and Green? Bika and even Andrade are better then the last two. Not to mention Bute who`s better than all these and among the best three. MAN, IF HE RECEIVES THAT FIGHT HE`LL DESERVE IT.Who , then, you think should box the winner, especially if Lucian would have the other two belts or is at least unbeaten ?
I disagree. The only major mistake (or problem) is that Bute doesn't take part. Replace Dirrell (would be my pick if I could choose one fighter) or Taylor with Bute and you have the best SMW in there... Taylor has four defeats, right, but look at the calibre of his opponents. Pavlik, Froch, Abraham. Those guys would give Bute all kinds of trouble. All 3 are better than all the guys Bute has faced up to now.
I don`t contradict you on that. But the point I answerd at is if Lucian has the right to fight the winner. If HBO sais yes who is against? Or somebody`s jealous? Bute declared he would go in US to fight americans ANYTIME, even after the fight with Zuniga. He`s a great person. If the promoter didn`t get a place in that tourney, what, Bute`s a runner?
I contradict you though also in the matter of value of S 6 boxers relating to your argument. Andrade lost only to Kessler and Bute and won by KO with actually champion Stiegliz and Yusaf Mack. Green lost to Miranda ad what other oppositioN did he beat? The same with Direll.his only great match is an official loss. So, according to your reasoning ANDRADE IS CLEARELY BETTER THAN BOTH GREEN AND DIREL. Bika only lost to Calzaghe and Bute, the other loss being when he was very young. He KO`d Manfredo in 3rd and Condrington.SO BIKA IS BETTER THAN DIRELL AND GREEN. So, folowing your way of reasoning this is the CONCLUSION: From the S6 only four guys are surely among the best five in the world in category, considering Bute added to these.
And regarding the comparison Bute - Taylor, you can`t argue Taylor has a real chance against Bute. What do you think? Bute would lose three matches by KO and the fourth at points meeting Froch, AA and Pavlik twice ? Let`s be serious.
I think Bute's a great fighter, but needs to fight better opposition to be declared some kind of "king in waiting" of the SMW division. Either way, I doubt this whole "Super 6 winner automatically fights Bute" is legit. Does Sauerland speak for guys like Ward, Dirrell, Green and Froch who they do not represent? I doubt this was envisioned before the tourney began so I can't see it being contractually obligated. So how exactly does it work?
In my opinion - and if the tournament hasn't already started - only Dirrell has not earned to fight in the Super Six. I don't think that Andrade or Bika would've any chance to win a fight against Kessler, Froch, Taylor, Ward, Abraham. Green is a weak replacement for Taylor, but the replacement itself is ok after he got KTFO for the 3rd time, the 2nd in a row. However, I think he still would've a decent chance against Ward and also against Bute. Bute of course can win against any of the guys participating in the Super 6, but I don't see that it would be a walk in the park against any of them. Would he get KTFO like Taylor? We don't know! Against AA, it could definitely happen, Froch could wear him down...
The thing is Bute won't stand and trade with Pavlik, he'll move and make Pavlik pay for his errors...
