Never. A fighter still has trainers, coaches, personal bills etc. to pay regardless. No promoter would ever allow anyone to sign a contract like that, remember many people have their hands in the purse, not just the fighters.

    :deal

On top of that, why risk it all in a sport where the scoring is subjective (and therefore open to corruption)?

Maybe want to ask in the Aussie forum, but on a poker show (on tv) Jeff Fenech said he fought in the last winner takes all purse fight in boxing history...can't remember opponents name. He said the fight was in Australia...!!! Don't know how true it is, or not...!!!

Jeff Fenech was a great fighter in his day, but he is full of **** at times. I wouldn't believe much of what he says tbh

The way should be is; the winner takes the biggest purse.
Still, with the level of corruption and incompetence around judging it will be a freaking mess.
