    Yep, I rewatched that fight recently and have the distinct memory of Lampley talking about it.

    I agree and disagree. IBF don't mess around, agreed, and network pressure/protecting/building up plays huge rolls. I was surprised Hernandez re-matched Cunningham immediately, but then again, Hernandez has fought no one else really and wouldn't have anyone appealing on the market. Besides, RING title = awesome. Even if they double standard themselves by quickly removing Huck out of the way, who clearly deserves placement over both.

    I disagree with Mares and think the promoters forced it. There was no way Mares would ever be forgiven by the fans if there was no re-match. I think they looked long term and saw it as a needed medium risk/high reward (the re-match, that is).

    I know you said it has to be a fight that was dominant but I'm going to choose to ignore that and say

    Jones - Tarver 2.

    Big mistake on Jones' part.
