Its $460 but I think it just might be worth the investment. Its supposed to be the very best money can buy. Protecting you're head and brain during boxing should be priority number one. I've warn one while training in japan but initially I scoffed at the high price. I was thinking of getting the gloves too but I've decided I dont really need them anyway. Headgear i'd be willing to invest in. Ive been boxing for 5 years and i've decided its really what I want to do. i take boxing very seriously. What do you guys think worth it or no?

$460 just for head gear? That thing had better make a decent cup of tea and cure cancer.

Seriously though, what is so special about that piece of kit to make it so ridiculously expensive?

Yea thats really really expensive, but i heard good stuff about that particular one.
    I have 2 everlast ones(one with cheek and jaw protections,and one normal),each one costing 90-100 dollars.Good stuff.

From what I hear you'll never have to replace them and its the best protection available. I wore them in japan they're pretty light too. I dont know my coach highly recommends winning headgear. Its just the price is so outrageous...

They are hand made, padding is better quality and distributed better. They are also lighter, have good visibility and punch absorbtion.

has anybody tried the everlast model that is very similar in design? It looks pretty close to the same thing but just cheaper in price. Also, the "ring to cage" has also received great reviews, similar design and also cheaper in price. I suggest looking into these items before buying headgear that cost $450 unless you are a world champion.

    $199 everlast:

    $124 ring to cage:

It seems Winning recently must have raised their prices.
Last time I'd checked, they weren't in $400s yet. Must have been with the weight adjustment they did on the model.
I only own the FG-2900 and much prefer it for its higher visibility. Def. worth it as you won't ever have to purchase new gear or spend on various cheaper ones.

Maybe you'll be so motivated to protect your $460 investment, that you'll become a master at evading head shots.
