Estrada was the quicker, sharper boxer from the get-go and he boxed really well and swept the first 2/3 of the fight. SSR looks a faded fighter to me and he looked vulnerable in his last outing, in a fight where IIRC he was dropped x 2 and the ref chose not to count them because SSR was fighting in Thailand. No idea why SSR decided to box orthodox tonight thought that was dumb with a capital D.

Highly doubt it. He couldn't stop him when estrada was not 100 percent.

Estrada would still win imo. But it definitely would be a wayyyy better fight. I want them to ask Sor why the **** he fought orthodox.

I think the stance could have made a difference. If Estrada was eating punches, SSR throws strong punches too, it could have change the fight if they had landed earlier and accumulated.

All guess and speculation of course. Reality was Estrada outboxed him.

I really don’t understand what Sergio means by a pound for pound performance. Have we started rating performances on some pound for pound scale? What does that even entail

Hey, look at it this way, he closed very strong. He can always blame fighting as an orthodox fighter for his loss.

    Was that strategic?

After all, he probably gets a third fight and another huge pay day. Hmmmm.

I wanted Estrada to win but I also wanted a good fight. Sor robbed us of that. With these shitty fights recently, I thought this was going to be a good one, at least Doheny/Roman salvaged the night.

Rungvisai won by shut out tonight.

IF. You only score the rounds he fought the majority as a southpaw.

Morales schooled Pacquiao but it was more competitive than this. This was a joke man. Estrada sonned him so badly.

His KO ratio told me that.

Upon replay Soto didn't seem out of it, and those blows weren't all landing. As far as Vargas' power. You would knock out Ali if you landed a good shot on his chin. Ali isn't that good. Bradley wasn't close to being stopped. If it was that easy than Provodnikov would have done it a few years prior. I don't recall Broner being staggered. Vargas does not have heavy hands. If his hands are so heavy why doesn't he have more stoppages? He was hitting an old shopworn 130 pounder repeatedly and it took him how long to even hurt him?

The shots weren't landing all that flush in the final sequence. And Sotos eyes seemed coherent, he was trying to intelligently defend.

More that Estrada had a comfortable lead and the fight in the bag but still stood and traded in the final rounds when he didn't need to.
