Pretty much how I see it. If Smith was 5'10", this wouldn't even be a discussion. It's his height and reach that makes it interesting.

I've gotta say, whilst I see Smith doing quite well, Canelo is going to win. I'll predict late rounds KO.

Simple Jab and Grab Wladdy style.. Keep him at a distance and away from that body because the height difference is actually a benefit for Canelo.. Callum’s rib cage and kidneys are right there in Canelo’s punching range and he could feast on those all night if allowed inside.. Callum has to bore this fight out similar to how Wlad used to then it could be a long night for Canelo.. Kovalev was doing a decent job at it too before he started to tire..

I don't see a scenario where Canelo doesn't dismiss Smith. Ryder showed the blueprint and the weaknesses in Smith's game, and they're fatal against someone with Canelo's chin and ability to evade with upper-body movement. War Ginger.:ggg

Canelo takes smith out rounds 7-9 with a body shot which cripples smith. Canelo just got too much ring iq for smith. We forgetting Ryder should have got a draw at minimum and canelo light years better than Ryder

The only way to truly beat the cash cow is to TKO him or just KHTFO
Smith can’t drop much less KO Big Red.

Canelo by stoppage between the 9th and final bell or MD

I was as straight up hoe
Was in a rock band from 18 to 21 and plowed up a storm. I was a kid in a candy store.

Always had that humor that made panties drop quickly and seldom turned down request unless I just knew the boys would never let me hear the end of it then I would be more selective :D

SMith doesn't have the footspeed to deal with riod Canelo.

Big Red will figure out Smith’s timing and movement within 4 rounds and beat him like a drum. Time to spank the baby

Smith isn't a big puncher for SMW standards. He's an average puncher at best. Kovalev is a huge puncher at 175. There is no reason to believe Callum can hurt Clenelo at 168. Callum ko'd a bunch of bums earlier in his career but couldn't stop anyone of notice if we exclude a shot George Groves. All the Callum Smith hype is based on the George Groves fight and i remember how people were hyping hip up after the fight. Stopping guys like Ndam (a natural MW with a glass jaw) or Blackledge (was ko'd in one round by Zach Parker and was beaten up by Dennis Radovan so his corner had to stop the fight after Round 4) tell us NOTHING. I think Callum Smith isn't anything special to be honest after analyzing his skills on tape the last couple of days. John Ryder beat him and Ryder is basically a lower level version of Clenelo excluding the different stances. Ryder great body shots, good footwork, loves to mix it up jabs and has that attitude to walk through fire. Clenelo is more technical and much harder to hit tbh and i just don't see Smith having much success with his basic and raw style. I really don't like Clenbuterolo Alvarez but he will wipe the floor with Smith imo. Smith lacks the footwork and footspeed to deal with Clenbuterols angles and speed in general.

We'll see tonight. Canelo is at a huge physical disadvantage. It's definitely an interesting fight.

What good is a gameplan when you can’t win on the cards? He needs a knockout.

Lets hope canelo looks at the Ryder fight and comes in thinking this is going to be easy.

Wishful thinking i know, but i am trying to think of any advantage that may get Smith the win.
