With a win over Pacquiao would Floyd Mayweather surpass 'sweet pea' Whitaker??

I think their resumes are very comparable up until you get to Chavez. Mayweather doesnt have a true ATG in Chavez like Whitaker does. If Floyd were to beat Pacquiao would his resume equal or perhaps surpass that of Sweet Peas? All due respect to the Sultan of Slip of course. Just a thought.

I'm not a big fan of Peawee, but damn, his resume pisses all over Duck Dodger Mayweather.

Even if Mayweather were to beat PacMan, this is a good case of a very good big man beating a very great little man.

Floyds not a big man. Not even close. Floyd is at the very end of the welterweight table in terms of size. **** he started at super feather.

And please. List Pea's biggest wins, and I'll list Floyds. Because I dont think you know what you're talking about and I hope you posted under the "im a floyd hater" cateogry.

Floyd has ducked too many guys for him to be considered an all time great just because he beat Pacquiao.

Would put him very close but I think he would need another big win, a Mosley perhaps.

Modern fighters can never be considered greater than fighters from previous generations because there is a mystic surrounding the old school fighters that gets perpetuated on boxing forums.

I believe so. Also Peas wins over Chavez and nelson were over smaller men if we use the same logic that hatton is a smalller fighter than mayweather.
